Tempo Showcase Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Niccolò Massari (“Developer”, “I”, “me”, or “my”) handles information in connection with Tempo Showcase (the “App”), a third-party application available through the Wix App Market.

The App is developed and provided by Niccolò Massari, an independent designer based in Salsomaggiore Terme, Italy.

1. Scope of this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to information processed directly by the Developer in connection with the installation, configuration, support, and use of Tempo Showcase.

Tempo Showcase operates within the Wix platform. Wix separately collects and processes information relating to Wix accounts, websites, subscriptions, payments, App Market activity, devices, and use of its services. That processing is governed by the Wix Privacy Policy, available at:

This Privacy Policy does not replace the privacy policy that each Wix site owner must provide to visitors of their own website.

2. How Tempo Showcase works

Tempo Showcase allows Wix site owners to create responsive image and video presentations with configurable timing, autoplay, transitions, progress indicators, counters, and navigation controls.

The App uses information entered by the site owner in the Wix Editor, such as:

  • Image and video URLs;

  • Optional video poster URLs;

  • Slide order and duration;

  • Display and transition preferences;

  • Colors, layout, media fitting, and other presentation settings.

These settings are used only to configure and display the slideshow selected by the site owner.

3. Information the App may process

Depending on how the App and Wix platform are used, the following limited categories of information may be processed.

3.1 App configuration information

The App processes the settings selected by the site owner, including media URLs and presentation preferences. These settings are stored and managed through the Wix environment and the relevant Wix website.

The Developer does not operate an independent database for storing this configuration data.

3.2 Installation and subscription information

Wix may provide the Developer with limited information needed to manage the App, its installations, subscriptions, trials, support, and technical operation. This may include identifiers associated with a Wix account or website, installation status, subscription status, and technical information about the App version.

The Developer does not receive or store users’ complete payment card details. Payments and subscription billing are handled by Wix and its authorized payment providers.

3.3 Support communications

If a user contacts the Developer for assistance, the Developer may process:

  • Name and email address;

  • The content of the support request;

  • Relevant website or App information voluntarily provided by the user;

  • Screenshots, configuration details, or other materials supplied to diagnose an issue.

Users should not send passwords, payment card details, special-category personal data, or other unnecessary confidential information in a support request.

3.4 Website visitor information

Tempo Showcase does not independently create user profiles, use advertising cookies, or track visitors across websites.

The current version of the App does not include its own Google Analytics, PostHog, advertising pixels, or similar external analytics services.

However, Wix may process technical and usage information as part of operating the Wix platform. The Wix site owner may also install other analytics, marketing, or tracking services on their website. Those activities are controlled by Wix or the relevant site owner and are outside the Developer’s direct control.

3.5 Media hosted by third parties

Site owners may configure the App using media hosted by Wix or by an external provider.

When content is loaded from an external provider, that provider may receive technical information from the visitor’s browser, such as the visitor’s IP address, browser information, and the time of the request. The relevant provider’s privacy policy applies to that processing.

Site owners are responsible for selecting lawful and appropriate media-hosting providers and for informing their visitors when required.

4. Purposes and legal bases

Where the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) applies, information may be processed for the following purposes and legal bases:

  • Providing and operating the App: processing necessary to perform the agreement with the user;

  • Managing installations, trials, and subscriptions: performance of the agreement and legitimate interests in administering the App;

  • Responding to support requests: performance of the agreement and legitimate interests in providing assistance and improving the App;

  • Maintaining security and preventing misuse: legitimate interests in protecting the App, users, and Wix websites;

  • Complying with legal and accounting requirements: compliance with applicable legal obligations;

  • Establishing or defending legal claims: legitimate interests in protecting legal rights.

The Developer does not use App information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

5. Cookies and tracking technologies

Tempo Showcase does not currently place its own advertising or analytics cookies and does not use its own cross-site tracking technology.

Wix and services added independently by a site owner may use cookies or similar technologies. Site owners are responsible for configuring their Wix cookie banner and consent tools as required by applicable law.

If analytics or other tracking technologies are added directly to Tempo Showcase in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated before or when those technologies become active.

6. Sharing of information

The Developer does not sell personal data.

Information may be shared only when reasonably necessary with:

  • Wix, which hosts and operates the platform through which the App is installed and used;

  • Technical or professional service providers, if required to operate, secure, support, or legally administer the App;

  • Public authorities or legal advisers, when disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect legal rights;

  • A successor or acquiring party, if the App or related business is transferred, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection requirements.

Service providers may process information only for the relevant service and in accordance with applicable contractual and legal obligations.

7. International data transfers

Wix and its service providers operate internationally. Information processed through the Wix platform may therefore be transferred to or stored in countries outside the user’s country of residence.

Wix is responsible for the safeguards applying to transfers carried out through its platform. Users should consult the Wix Privacy Policy for information about Wix’s international data-transfer practices.

If the Developer independently transfers personal data outside the European Economic Area, appropriate safeguards required by applicable law will be used.

8. Data retention

The Developer retains personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including:

  • Support correspondence for the time needed to resolve the request and maintain a reasonable support history;

  • Transactional, subscription, tax, or accounting information for the period required by applicable law;

  • Information required to prevent abuse, resolve disputes, or establish or defend legal claims for the applicable limitation period.

App configuration and website content stored within Wix are generally controlled by the site owner and Wix. Removing the App may not automatically remove all information retained by Wix or included in previous website versions or backups.

9. Data security

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect information handled directly by the Developer against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.

Nevertheless, no online service or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users are responsible for protecting their Wix credentials and restricting access to their Wix accounts and websites.

10. Responsibilities of Wix site owners

A Wix site owner using Tempo Showcase determines which media and content appear on their website. The site owner is responsible for:

  • Having the necessary rights and permissions for uploaded or linked content;

  • Avoiding the publication of personal data without an appropriate legal basis;

  • Providing an accurate privacy notice to website visitors;

  • Obtaining any legally required cookie or tracking consent;

  • Responding to requests from their website visitors;

  • Ensuring that external media providers and links comply with applicable law.

If a site owner uses the App to display personal data, that site owner normally acts as the controller of that information. The Developer does not determine the purpose for which such content is published.

11. Children’s privacy

Tempo Showcase is intended for Wix website owners and professional site creators. It is not directed to children, and the Developer does not knowingly collect personal data directly from children through the App.

Users must not use the App to collect or publish children’s personal data unless they have a valid legal basis and comply with all applicable child-protection and privacy requirements.

12. Your privacy rights

Depending on applicable law and the circumstances, individuals may have the right to:

  • Request access to their personal data;

  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;

  • Request deletion of their personal data;

  • Request restriction of processing;

  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests;

  • Receive certain data in a portable format;

  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;

  • Lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection authority.

The Developer may need to verify the requester’s identity before fulfilling a request.

Requests concerning Wix account information, payments, or platform activity should be directed to Wix. Requests concerning information collected by a particular Wix website should be directed to that website’s owner.

13. Changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes to the App, legal requirements, or data-processing practices.

The revised version will be published on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through Wix or another appropriate channel when required.
