What web accessibility is

An accessible website allows people to browse, understand and interact with content with a similar level of ease, regardless of ability, device or assistive technology.

Accessibility can support people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, alternative input methods, captions, browser zoom, high contrast settings and other assistive tools.

This website has been built with attention to accessibility and usability, following the general principles of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, known as WCAG.

As part of this effort, the site includes:

  • Used the Accessibility Wizard to find and fix potential accessibility issues

  • Set the language of the site 

  • Set the content order of the site’s pages

  • Defined clear heading structures on all of the site’s pages

  • Added alternative text to images

  • A clear page structure and heading hierarchy

  • Decorative images marked where appropriate

  • Descriptive links and calls to action

  • Sufficient color contrast where possible
